Bio

Jasmine Johnson is an interdisciplinary artist and curator based in Chicago. Johnson is currently receiving a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Studio from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Their curatorial practice is inspired by play, institutional critique, and the nuance of human experiences. Johnson is currently one half of MagandMan, a curatorial duo; they recently had their Inaugural exhibition, A House Built on Sand, at Color Club. They have also collaborated with Cellophane Gallery to curate the exhibition Cycles of Liberatory Love. Johnson currently works as a Gallery Assistant for SAIC Galleries and as the SITE Special Programs Director.
