Bio
Jasmine Johnson is an interdisciplinary artist and curator based in Chicago. Johnson is receiving a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Studio from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Johnson’s artistic work explores the relationship between form, community, perception, and meaning making, through human and non-human references. Her curatorial practice is inspired by play, institutional critique, and the nuance of human experiences. Johnson has shown in Rated R for Red at Color Club and ArtBash at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Johnson is currently one half of MagandMan, a curatorial duo; they recently had their Inaugural exhibition, A House Built on Sand, at Color Club. Johnson currently works as a Gallery Assistant for SAIC Galleries and as the SITE Special Programs Director.
