Portrait of a Woman (As a Toilet Paper Roll)

2025 • Wood, wire, metal, acrylic paint, cardboard toilet paper roll

Drawing from the writings of Suzi Gablik and Ellen Dissanayake, Portrait of a Woman represents the idea of object and consumerism replacing ritual as grounding for life. Objects, such as the the toilet paper roll, become grounding in time and space, becoming important enough to mold the body around.
